Role Models, Mentors, Leaders and Elders is the fifth in a series about us humans doing better than harming each other, harming our fellow species, and harming the Earth.
It is about Role Models role-modelling what ‘better’ looks like. It is about mentors mentoring others to help us do ‘better’. It about Leaders leading us to achieve ‘better’ outcomes for peoples, our kindred species and our Earth. It about Elders guiding communities to do ‘better’. All four roles about helping ‘us’ to ‘be the difference that makes a difference. So that we humans do better and be better.
The Dedication at the beginning of the book captures its essence.

Right now … in 2025 … Role Models, Mentors, Leaders and Elders can be exemplars, archetypes and architects of ever-growing sanity, kindly wisdom, and ‘positive loving power’.
Loving, mindful, intelligent standard-bearers can help awaken you and me, and the collective ‘us’. They can help many of us progress beyond ‘more of our same-old’ unhelpful and harmful egoic worldly and religious ways that we humans have done and done for several thousand years. Crucially-typically … progressively … communal and ecological exemplars can make a difference … through their depth and strength of character … locally and globally … within and across relationships, domains and institutions.
Paragons of character have the capacity to influence individuals and collective peoples to become lovingly … present, ethical, courageous, disciplined, and purposefully communally and ecologically forward thinking. These are tremendously commanding and empowering values and priorities. They are ‘love values’.
